Description of the PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty course

I’m going to take the PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty course This course will also count towards one of the 5 Specialties required for my Master Scuba Diver Certification.

I’m going to concentrate on Digital Photography because I want to be able to post my photos easily on the Internet.

I’ll learn the basics of camera handling with special emphasis on practical techniques. I’ll also learn underwater photography dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems, and how to care for and maintain your camera equipment.

The course will run over 2 days, with theory, practise in the swimming pool, learning some bouyancy techniques so I can keep still while taking good photos.

After that, I’ll go out on the boat with my instructor, for 2 open water dives.
