Nikon D200 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-70mm AF-S DX f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED Nikkor Zoom Lens

Buy the Nikon D200 here
The Sea & Sea DX-D200 Housing was made for the Nikon D200 Digital Camera

Digideep.com now have photos and a very favorable review by J P Trenque, of the Sea and Sea DX-D200 Underwater Housing J. P. Trenque’s conclusion for the Sea and Sea DX-D200 Housing is…

Conclusion
In all, I am extremely happy with my purchase. The Sea & Sea DX-D200 is not the perfect housing yet because of its viewfinder, lack of some controls and occasionally fiddly dial commands. However, it is extremely competitively priced compared to other metal housings and handles beautifully underwater. Oh, and it looks rather good and serious too!

WetPixel have a review of the Sea and Sea DX D200 Housing The author of the review, Craig Ruaux states at the end of the review…

“Overall, this is a very solid, high quality housing. I expect to get many years of good use from this housing, and I am happy with the purchase. There are some things missing from this housing that may or may not represent a problem for individual users, but for photographers like myself with a reasonable investment in Sea & Sea ports, the decision to purchase this housing is basically a no-brainer.”

Sea and Sea DX-750G

Sunday, December 18th, 2005

Sea and Sea announced the Sea and Sea DX-750G in October 2005. It comes with the Underwater Housing.

Sea and Sea DX-750G

The Main Features are:

  • Very fine 1/2.5-inch primary-color CCD with effective image quality of 5.19 megapixels (recordable up to 7.08 megapixels).
  • High-quality CCD and a potent-performance 3x zoom lens render crisp detail and rich, accurate color.
  • Equipped with a large, bright and contrasty 2.0-inch LCD monitor. Bigger is better for composition, replay, and adjustment.
  • 35-105mm optical 3x zoom. Versatile 3x zoom lens provides a wide range of focal lengths appropriate for a wide range of subjects and distances. This lens will shoot wide angle to telephoto, whatever you need for whatever you see.
  • Macro photography shooting distance as close as 10cm / 4inch. In macro mode you can position your lens as close as 10cm / 4inch from the subject for highly magnified and hyper vivid images.
  • A variety of white balance settings suitable for any shooting environment. In automatic mode the camera selects the appropriate white balance setting from the data garnered on the quantity of light and subject’s colors. Five other modes are selectable according to such specific sources of light as “outdoor” and “indoor.” White balance can also be customized.
  • Photo Frame Setting. The 750G menu offers nine decorative photo frames. This unique feature allows you to capture the image within the frame of your choice, already fancy-framed and ready to print.
  • Movie function. The 750G takes video with audio, at 640×480 pixel resolution, 24 frames per second.
16-MB built-in memory. Recordable to SD/Multimedia Card. The 750G camera is equipped with a 16-MB built-in memory. Think of it as a backup in the event you forget your card or your card is full.
  • Powered by alkaline or nickel metal hydride AA batteries. The 750G camera accepts both alkaline AA batteries, which are available anywhere even on a trip, and rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries.
  • Compatible with PictBridge. The accessory USB cable will connect the camera directly to any printer that supports the PictBridge interface.

Underwater Photography reviews the Sea & Sea Motormarine MM-III

The Sea & Sea MM-III underwater camera might not only be the replacement for the Motormarine II but, now that the Nikonos is discontinued, perhaps will challenge for number one film camera too!

The MM-III has a nice chunky feel and a new gunmetal finish. It’s still plastic though, so is nowhere near as bullet-proof as the Nikonos.

In all other respects it is a competitor. The controls fall nicely to hand and, for the first time on the Motormarine, there is a LCD to give positive indication of battery power, frame counter, shutter speed etc.

What else is new? Well, for starters, there’s now a 20mm lens built-in. The previous Motormarine had a 35mm, which is not the easiest lens for anyone to use so this is good news.

There is a new range of supplementary lens to further enhance your options. This includes two macro lenses, a 15mm wide angle, and a fish-eye.

Also new is a built-in target light. Handy for Autofocus (but this is not an AF camera).

Scuba Diving Equipment src="http://scubadiving-blog.com/images/seaandseabackdx8000g.jpg"/>

The 8000G improves on its predecessor, the 5000G, in three significant ways:

1. Shutter release intervals remain steady until the memory is full.

Continuous image capture has a shutter lag time of only 1.7 seconds between images. No more delays while the camera flashes “Writing” and freezes the shutter release button until it’s finished. Video capture is also continuous until memory is full.

2. Imaging quality is greatly improved. SEA&SEA analyzed why conventional digital cameras so often capture poor images, and we’ve used the results to overhaul autoexposure and other elements that affect image quality. We’ve paid special attention to autofocus quality in macro mode to provide much better focus for close-up subjects.

3. The camera now supports the USB2.0 standard.
